I haven't even participated in some of the recent TTTs because I would just be using the same books. Plus, I don't pay attention to when books are released, I don't plan books ahead of time (which, perfectly enough, I'm going to have a whole post about tomorrow), and I have like 27 different lists that could be called TBRs that all have different books because organization is for sane people.
This is why I've decided to make this simple on myself and have a little fun. I have so many books on my Kindle and my various different TBRs that I don't even know what I have anymore. I'm just going to click to random pages, scroll to random spots, close my eyes and point. And those are the books you're going to get in this list :-)
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted at The Broke and the Bookish. The topic I’m doing this week is:
Top Ten Random Books on My TBR
(I don’t care if that makes no sense.)
10. Beautiful Demons by Sarra Cannon
From the Kindle – It was recommended (not to me personally, but a general rec) by an author I love, and it’s got demons, and it was free. So it just made sense to download it, right?
9. H2O by Virginia Bergin
From some TBR – It’s a post-apoc with poisonous rain. Right? Have you see the cover of the physical book though? It really has the cut outs and the page behind it has the text that shows through. Pretty neat.
8. Children Shouldn’t Play with Dead Things by Martina McAtee
From some other TBR – The title intrigues me, and the cover is pretty. Plus the blurb sounds good, what with all the supernatural creatures involved.
7. Frostfire by Amanda Hocking
From my shelf – I recently won it, and I really am looking forward to this one because it’s about trolls, and that’s one of the supernatural creatures I’ve never read about.
6. The Snow Globe by Jenna Nelson
From yet another TBR – A story about a women winding up inside a snow globe caught my attention. And the cover is pretty.
5. Disappearing Nightly by Laura Resnick
From… another TBR? – Love the cover art (well, this is probably my least favorite in the series), and it totally sounds like my kinda urban fantasy series.
4. Crimson Vol. 1 by Brian Augustyn & Humberto Ramos
From Hoopla – Looking to try a few more graphic novels this year, and I love vampires, plus the art on this cover looks great, plus he’s sipping blood from a bag like it’s a juice box which always cracks me up (but somehow he’s making it look badass). So it’s a win-win-win.
3. There Will Be Lies by Nick Lake
From Overdrive – It’s all mysterious and thriller-y… I think? And it’s got a deaf protagonist… I also think? (I saw this at Paper Fury and just kinda threw it on my list because it sounded good.)
2. Bird Box by Josh Malerman
From the list of books I want for their covers even though I have no idea what they’re about – Ummm… I think this one kind of explained itself lol.
1. Insanity by Cameron Jace
Once again from the Kindle – Pretty cover. Alice in Wonderland retelling. Count me in!
