Cover Characteristics: Book Covers featuring Beds

In doing this meme I have discovered there are certain things that are just not often on book covers.

Beds is one of those things.

I went through a lot of covers thinking things to myself such as, "I'm like 60% that's a bed she's lying on," and imagining beds where there probably weren't any.

I did manage to find some good ones though. None of them are really the style of cover that I personally LOVE, but they're still pretty nonetheless!

Cover Characteristics is a weekly meme hosted at Sugar & Snark. This week’s topic is:

It’s just a black and white photo, but it definitely has that creepy, insane asylum vibe that I think it was going for.

This cover looks so quirky and fun!

It’s simple but nice.

This one is not exactly pretty, per se, but it definitely suits the title and has a great creepy/paranormal vibe going on.

I like the red and black color scheme.

It’s just a photograph, but it’s pretty and looks nice with the font.

The House of Sleep by Jonathon Coe

I like minimalistic, and this is both minimalistic and intriguing.

I almost chose this as my favorite because I like the bold colors and artsy composition.

My Favorite:

I like the contrast of the red text and the teal water and sky as well as the font style, and the bed floating on water with the creepy reflection make the book seem interesting.

This was a tough one. I had to do some real digging this week. Which is half the fun. 🙂

I had the Jenny Han cover too, I agree it’s cute in a YA kind of way. You found some really interesting ones. I’m having a hard time picking a favorite- I think I agree with your top choices. I like the ones with a bit of color to them…

Digging is half the fun, isn’t it? Yeah, the Jenny Han one is not exactly *my* style of cover, but it’s still nice. And I guess we both like the covers with good colors 🙂

I think Famous Last Words is my favourite of these as well! Seriously Wicked also looks like something I would like to read! All great choices.
