The Weekly Update: 10/15/17

I had so much stuff to tell you all last week, and this week I have pretty much nothing. I'm perfectly ok with that though because it means at least nothing bad happened! But oh, I did randomly get hooked on cooking shows? I've never liked them before, but I swear I spent one whole day just marathoning an entire season of some Halloween bake-off show, and I'm also really loving this one that's...

Update: The Weekly Update 10/1/17

I need a new name for these posts since they don't seem to happening weekly anymore. This time it's not entirely my fault though. I was going to start doing them every other week, and then freaking Hurricane Irma showed up and screwed up everything. My family and our houses were all fine since the hurricane ended up not hitting any of us directly, but I lost power for nine and a half days, then I...

The Weekly Update: 9/3/17

Whew! It has been over a month since I have done a Weekly Update, and I have so much stuff to share all in one post now that it's a little overwhelming. I'm still not sure I'll be doing these every week though. I might switch to every other week or monthly. I'll figure something out eventually....

The Weekly Update: 7/30/17

So this isn't a real update, more of an update to let you all know that my Weekly Update posts are on temporary hiatus. It might just be for a week or two, I'm playing it by ear here since I'm supposed to be moving next weekend and don't know how I will end up feeling after that. (Note the words 'supposed to be.' If it's get pushed again, I will punch someone. Ok, no I won't because I don't even...

The Weekly Update: 7/23/17

Honestly I considered not even posting today because I'm tired and stressed, plus my arms are bad this week. But this was already half finished, so it seemed like a waste of arm pain to not just post it in case any of you are interested in what books I got/read over the past week. Oh! I almost forgot, I watched Descendants 2. I thought the first movie was really silly and not very good, but I...

The Weekly Update: 7/16/17

I have some good news! I had a fantastic creative/bookish week! I read/received some books about uncommon supernatural creature MCs, ordered some books with gift card money while they were on sale and I had free shipping, and... I actually wrote something! Like, 3500 words of something! It's about Jacovine because I have #Jacovine4Lyf on the brain. (If you missed the post or have forgotten,...

The Weekly Update: 7/9/17

I forgot to tell you all last week that the guys across the hall did in fact put out a 4th of July door mat as decoration for the holiday :-P Anyway... I haven't done much the past week other than stress out over moving-related stuff. But oh, hey, I realized yesterday that today (July 9th) is my two year blogging anniversary, so yay! I think I may have mentioned at my one year anniversary...

The Weekly Update: 7/2/17

Remember I mentioned last week that I watched Captain Fantastic? Well, ever since watching it, I haven't been able to shake this strange deja vu feeling. When the movie started, one of the actors looked familiar. I looked him up but hadn't seen anything that he was in. I brushed it off and kept watching. Then it got to one point further into the movie, and I predicted something that was about to...

The Weekly Update: 6/25/17

Let's see, what did I do this week... I rented some movies! I rarely watch movies, but it seemed like a good way to rest my arms. I watched Captain Fantastic because I thought it would be fun, quirky, and touching, I got a Little Miss Sunshine vibe from the cover, but boy was I wrong. I nearly cried like six times. I was heavy and unsettling in some ways and emotional but touching in the end....

The Weekly Update: 6/18/17

So... the acupuncture did not go well. It hurt (not terrible, but like getting blood drawn), and I spent the entire appointment, plus the whole rest of the day, freaking out because needles. Maybe acupuncture just isn't for me period, but I also didn't like the practitioner. I felt like she didn't listen to me, and she didn't take my fear seriously at all; she just started stabbing needles all...
